Subic Port exceeds its September collection target with P2.77-B take

SUBIC BAY FREEPORT – The Bureau of Customs-Port of Subic has surpassed anew its monthly tax revenue target having collected P2.77 billion for the month of September. The amount is 50 percent over its target for the month.

Port of Subic Customs collector Maritess Martin said that while some restrictions in port operations remain due to the Covid-19 pandemic, their office managed to maintain its excellent performance over the past months.

Martin said September tax collection hit P2,772,497,748, which is significantly higher than their P1,772,743,928 target, 56% surplus worth P999.75 million. Last July, the Subic Port also surpassed its monthly target by 1.18% with their P2.26 billion tax take.

In May, she shared, they likewise collected P1.74 billion or 12% higher than their P1.56 billion target, while last June, they collected P2.76 billion, 45%  higher than their P1.91-billion target for the month.
